SOLD!

On 5th June '04  Blue gave us a lovely filly by Foxglen Himself . I think this lass may prove to be our best yet!

Bunny is a large, impressive filly. She has an abundance of bone and substance yet is a very pretty, feminine lass.

Time has run away from me, and still I haven't been able to do a proper "photo shoot" with Bunny...until then, here are a couple of informal snaps.

Bunny brings her pet flies up from the bottom of the pasture for me to see. Thanks Miss B!!

...and here she is, just days before her 2nd birthday! Enjoying a spring downpour after a week of great heat and humidity. This filly LOVES water!
Do please excuse the clutter...I snapped this picture out of my study window!!

Bunny has a gorgeous neck and clean throat-latch. Combine this with her lovely Irish head, superb shoulder in to a lovely top line and all on top of limbs with great bone and particularly strong forearms and gaskins. We believe her to be rather special!

I make no apology for saying that this is a top drawer, quality filly with wonderful bloodlines and from one of the strongest dam-lines in the breed. Three generations of Hornby Premiums plus championship wins at National shows. Her sire has a huge jump and her dam's sire was an international grade 'A' showjumper. Many from her dam line have also gained reputations as good dressage horses which is a discipline her sire competed in until very recently.

Many folk have asked me if Bunny is for sale. The answer is yes, if the right person comes along, but I'm in no hurry.

That's not to say that she is necessarily going to be expensive...but I would want her to go to exactly the right home.
She also would need someone who is not daunted by quite a big horse! She's 16.3hh at 3 years old....and she has some more growing to do yet!

Bunny watches the sun rise as a coming three year old.

Bunny, again at almost three years old. Captured from a grainy video so apologies for the blurriness of the pictures.
Also for the fact that she needs her mane pulling and her fetlocks trimmed! She is certainly "au natural" right now!!

A "Royal" family!

Bunny's half brother Harkaway Lionhawk (our Blue's '01 colt)  won the Youngstock, Best American Bred and Purebred in-hand Championships plus Reserve Supreme Champion at the '04 National Show. Congratulations Liz and Hawk!

Bunny's sire won the Supreme Championship.

And, to round out that superb weekend, Bunny's other half sister (out of Blue), Harkaway Pengillie, also passed inspection and is now R.I.D.

I think Bun might be impressed by all this good news if she weren't so busy chasing butterflies and wondering when it was time for supper!

More Harkaway foals (1999, 2000 , 2001 & 2002)
This will give you an idea of what our mares have produced in the past.
